perfect for a fort
and my mama looked so
pretty with those bangs
and overalls were still
chic, but practical
when you have three kids
my sister always pouting on the couch
we rode together
in that trailer on the back of the bike, all zipped up
and that bean-filled baby lizard with the black bead eyes
and glittery scales
always in my hand
